- In BSDJ (Bahasa Sumbawa Dialek Jereweh the Jereweh dialect of Sumbawa Language) there is a linguistic unit ra which is semantically equal to the linguistic unit ba, and formally to the linguistic unit raN-. The question to be asked is whether we have to base this study on form or meaning to identify the linguistic unit re_ This study will be based on both criteria, without ignoring the specific feature of BSDJ as a language in which affixes have formal and/ or semantic correspondences with other affixes. Based on this, the linguistic unit ra ca be identified as a morpheme that stands by itself as an affix. Key words: linguistic unit -- formal correspondence -- semantic correspondence.
