  • According to the WHO, Indonesia ir among the most vulnerable countries forAIDS' contagion in the world Potential foriti spreading is considerably high in the country given the fact of more permissive sexual activities and uncontrolled use of ryringes in the health service facilities as well as among individuals. This paper explains policies to control the HIV/ AIDS diseases in Indonesia, especially after the formulation of the national Strategic Plan for Combating HIV/ AIDS and the establishment of National Committee for HIV/AIDS Controls. Unlike in most developed countries, policies toward HIV/ AIDS and other sexually-transferred diseases in Indonesia have not extended beyond tbephins and good intentions. The Indonesian government needs to be more pro-active so that policies would be more dynamic and more anticipatory to the forh forthcoming issues. Key Words: HIV/AIDS
