  • The iron deficiency anemia affects physical fitness. Many student was found have physical fitness level that moderate and low. Research Reported that an average increase of haemoglobin and maximum VO2 for the Fe supplement group was higher than placebo group. The aim of the study was to know the effect of Fe folat, Vitamin A and Zinc supplementation on physical fitness. The study was triple blind positive placebo randomized controlled trial. The subjects consist of 157 students that devided into four group. The first group (n = 39) received Fe supplementation. The second group (n = 38) received Fe + vitamin A supplementation. The third group received Fe + Zn supplementation. And the fourth group received Fe + Zn + vitamin A supplementation. The supplementation delivered twice a week within twelve weeks. Physical fitness measured three times at the start, middle, and the end of supplementation. Concentration of haemoglobin, ferritin, retinol, and zinc plasma measeured at the start and the end of supplementation period. The result showed that an average of physical fitness level increased at the all of supplementation group, but not significantly. The Fe + Zn supplementation given most increased.
