- The objective of the study was to define the relationship between basal area per hectare. (lbds) and stand parameters consisting of total height (T), crown diameter (D) and number of trees (N). The study was conducted in a primary forest land in a concession area of PT. Dwimajaya Utama. Measurements of the stand parameters were done on aerial photograph. Plot size was 0.5 x 0.5 cm. Sampling in tensity was 0.05 % consisting of 31 plots. Samples were taken proportionally and evenly in the whole area of the primary forest. The result showed that the best regression equation of the relationship was. lbds = -8.3210 + 0.2712 T + 0.0237 D2 + 0.0614 N with coefficient of determination 68.82% and standar error 0.2143 m2 per plot.
