- To recognize forest composition and its potency usually used forest inventory with census techniques. However, this method is just effective and easy to use for narrow areas. Meanwhile, for large areas using aerial photograph techniqueswill be more effective and accurate. It is for those reasons, PT Carus Indonesia is considering to use aerial photograph techniquesto know the volume of trees in its concession area. Objective of this study is developing volume table using aerial photograph. The tool employed is defining regression equation involving dependent variables and independent variable. The dependent variables consist of tree height and crown diameter generated from aerial photograph. The independent variable is tree volume counted from the tree height and crown diameter. Twelve measurement plots containing of 275 trees were used to conduct the research. Result of this research showed that the selected regression equation is: In y: 3.1410 + 2.1141 In x I + 1.2364 In x2. Where: Y =tree volume, X1 = crown diameter, and X2 = tree height. The selected coefficient determination (R2) is 0,71. The R2 value of 0,71 means that 71% of volume variation comes from the variables of crown diameter and tree height
