Third, in political life management, there was a centralization of power. Fourth, in economic management, there was disparities and inequality among regions in both countries. Those conditions influencing the process of society changes. Starting with economic crisis that followed by regime legitimacy crisis. It raised demands for independence in some regions. In Yugoslavia, that process lasted by Yugoslavia's disintegration in 1991-1992. By looking at Yugoslavia's experience as a precedence, in order to prevent disintegration, Indonesia carried out reformation programs as a correction in nation-state management. This research also concluded that the most threatening factor of Indonesia's integration was inequality of social, political and economic development during New Order regime.
