  • ABSTRAK Performance comparison tests were carried out on Refrigerants R' I34A and Petrozon (Rossy 34). R I34A is well known as refrigerant HFC I34A which hare been used widely, on other hand Petrozon as a Hydro Carbon refrigerant is new domestic product ready to be distributed globally. The two refrigerants were tested in refrigerator designed for R I34A with modification on its evaporator and condenser, in order to hare measurement sensible heat. Experiments were conducted by adjusting manually of constant pressure expansion valve. at 750 grains of refrigerant R I34A and 262.5 grams of Petrozon (Rossy 34) operated in refrigerator. - Result indicates that Petrozon (Rossy 34) has higher actual coefficient of performance and also Carnot efficiency than R I34A. On the limited temperature lifts between condenser-evaporator at 8.7°C -45.4°C, Petrozon (Rossy _34) has actual coefficient of peifonnance 20,766 (Teo-Te1)43724 and Carnot efficiency 5.677 (Tco-Ter)°7. Refrigerant R I34A at temperature lifts condenser-evaporator 18.9-39.5°C has actual coefficient of performance 0.967 (Tco-Tev)°2 Keywords: refrigeran, petrozon, mesin pendingin
