- The aim of this research is to describe the pressure distribution and the pressure drop of air-water mixture through a sudden contraction in rectangular section. The results of the research show that on the transitional region before the contraction wall, pressure at the wall boundary is higher than at the axis. The other hand, at the transisional region after the contraction wall, pressure at the wall boundary is lower than that at the. axis. The pressure drops increases with higher mass flow qualities and mass fluxes. Mean differences of the pressure drops between the measurement and the calculation are 6.7 % for single phase flow and 8.99 % for two phase flow. Key Word Aliran dua fase, Sudden Contraction
