- Varieties with a wide range of adaptability was badly needed and of first concern for plant breeders. Genetic background of hybrid varieties depended on type of crosses which determines their variability. Testing promising hybrids in different environment was required prior to make recommendation to the farmers. The experiment aimed to evaluate yield stability of hybrids tested planted in different locations and seasons. Sixteen hybrids (including check varieties) were planted in 10 locations and 2 seasons, started on October 2002 to June 2003. Randomized Complete Block Design was applied to each unit of trials. Due to heterogenity of error mean square combined analysis was done by grouping environments into 2 groups based on Gomez and Gomez (1982) suggestion. The grouping following stability analysis was suggested by Shukla (1972), all hybrids tested showed stable on yield for all locations and seasons although genetic x environment interaction were significant. However, out of 16 hybrids tested, NT6240 and NT6661 might be recommended to farmers due to higher yield than the best variety check, C9. Keywords: corn hybrid-environment
