  • A field experiment was conducted to determine the economic and technical feasibility in the use of milk cooling water bath in the milk transportation schemes with different distances, environ temperatures and conditions. Milk samples were taken from dairy farmers and then transported to milk collecting unit, in which milk cans were kept in milk cooling water bath for two hours, except for the controls. All samples were then transported to different distances of destination. Analyses of bacteria count, methylene blue reduction test and lactic acid percentage were done at the points of transportation (10, 20 and 30 km from the farms to the milk collecting units
