  • ABSTRACT Consistency of fresh concrete is an important factor in making concrete because it has to be in accordance with the in situ method. Variability of the method of concrete making requires variability of fresh concrete consistency. The consistency can be estimated by code (Standar Tata Cara Pembuatan Rencana Campuran Beton Normal, SK SNI T-15-1990- 03). Due to the consistency or slump is calculated based on water content only, the range of the slump obtained is wide and inappropriate. It stands to reason that it needs additional information in getting the slump accurately. The slump resulted from fifteen fresh concrete mixes with three different water cement ratio and five different aggregate cement ratio were tried and tested. The results were studied for knowing the relationship amongst slump, water cement ratio, aggregate cement ratio, water content, dan paste content. The results indicate that there are relationships amongst slump, water cement ratio, aggregate cement ratio, water cornett!, and paste content. To estimate the slump more accurately than that listed in SK SNI T-15-1990-03 instead of water content, water cement ratio or aggregat cement ratio must be considered. This will be more accurate and be easier if the effect of paste weight and water cement ratio are also considered
