- The aim of this research was to know (1) the influence of production factors on level of product and its dominant influence, (2) technically and price efficiency of production factors, (3) the using of optimal input to maximize profit, (4) the optimal output to maximized profit, (5) to reach the maximal profitable of KUB and Non KUB, (6) the profit per production unit of KUB and Non KUB. This research was done at Desa Pemepek Kecamatan Pringgarata Kabupaten Lombok Tengah, April-june 2003, using descriptive analisys method, entangling 16 palm sugar home industry responder at KUB and Non KUB each 8 responders. Analisys was done using function of Cobb-Douglass OLS and of MLE and continued with Z test. The result indicated that the factors of production sap, firewood and korotwood were found significant on product at KUB, compared to Non KUB sap, korotwood and palm oil. The most factors of production that dominantly influenced the palm sugar production at KUB was sap and then followed by palm oil, firewood, korotwood and woman labour. At Non KUB was palm oil, woman labour, sap, korotwood and firewood. Usage of factors of production of sap, firewood, korotwood, woman labour and palm oil at KUB and Non KUB its technically efficiency was same and usage of factors of production of sap, firewood, korotwood, woman labour and palm oil no reached price efficiency.The optimal input that maximized the profit at KUB were sap 3.02 litre,firewood 1.16 fastening, korotwood 57.21 gram, woman labour 0.04 mandays and at Non KUB sap 0.47 litre, firewood 0.42 fastening, korotwood 44.07 gram, woman labour 0.15 mandays and palm oil 394.10 millilitre.The optimal production that maximized the profit at KUB equal to 16.35 kilogram and at Non KUB 20.34 kilogram. Maximal profit at KUB was equal to Rp.64 865 and at Non KUB was minus Rp. 30 000. The profit perunit product at KUB was equal to Rp. 317 and at Non KUB equal to minus Rp. 920.
