- ABSTRACT The operation of ferry transport is different from the operation of sea transport. The first is operated under control of the Directorate General of Land Transportation while the latter is operated under control of the b. Directorate General of Sea Transportation. This study examines the operation criteria of sea transport and ferry transport. Analytical Hierarchy Process Method was employed to analyze the criteria by interviewing the selected respondents. By analyzing the results could then be determined the main criteria of ferry transport compared to sea transport. Key word: lintas penyeberangan, angkutan, AHP, Lintas Laut
