- Asphalt concrete of BE 55 P is a mixture, which uses bitumen and filler of asbuton solvent extraction. Results of Marshall test of the mixture show that it has fulfilled the specification, but from Wheel Tracking Machine Test and resilient modulus, asphalt concrete of Esso Epure 55 performs better than BE 55 P. Therefore the performance of BE 55 P should be improved by an additive. This effort means to increase maltenes content and its composition in the Buton epure, which than called BE 55 PG. The main finding in this research is that the additive can improve the quality of BE 55 PG which are indicated. Based on reference of Esso asphalt as binder of asphalt concrete, the content of BE 55 PG in asphalt concrete is less than BE 55 P, and the value of Wheel Tracking Machine Test and modulus resilient close to the reference value.
