- In an effort to. depict the optimum contribution of animal raising in order to get a maximum farm income with no adverse effect on land conservation, a survey was conducted on watershed areas of Gondanglegi, Boyolali and Dimoro, Grobogan. Using analyses of output-input, linear programining and land carrying capacity for ruminant animals, the results showed that average farm income in Gondanglegi could be increased to a maximum of Rp 1,334,997 per year, while the maximum income in Dimoro was found to be Rp 1,098,363 per year. Using these figures, income contribution of goat raising could be increased from 7.18 to 11.98% (with four goats per farmer) in Gondanglegi and from 14.98 to 27.77% (seven goats per farmer) in. Dimoro. It is concluded that with the existing farm practices in both areas, the use of resources has not been optimized in order to get maximum income. Maximum income could be achieved by increasing the number of goats raised, with no adverse effect on land conservation. (Key Words: Carrying Capacity, Optimum Integrated Farming
