- In these times of volatile markets pushed by unrelenting changes and amorphous business environments, adaptive leadership tools in a learning organization have never been more important. This article explores the Learning Organization: what it is and why the 21'1 Century (and Beyond) Corporation leadership must embrace the three pillars of Generative/ Adaptive Learning, Systems Thinking, and the Digital Economy approach in building what is emerging as a Learning Organization paradigm. It insists that Information Technology and the Digital Economy will be the DNA of a learning organization. The article proposes a systems view of a learning organization while at the same time exploring the vitality of information technology (IT) and the core themes making up the Digital Economy in the development of a learning organization. The article explores a possible Learning Organization framework: its orientations, and facilitators. The article finally examines the managerial implications, before a brief conclusion
