- , ABSTRACT Increasing traffic volume on the road, means demanding on increasing performance of asphalt concrete as a pavement materials. It has been created by improvement of asphalt concrete composition, because its structural function is based on the portion of coarse aggregate in the mixture. Indonesian experts have done something to accommodate the above conditions as be done by Asphalt Institute, which is to improve performance of asphalt concrete. Due to any constraints, research should be carried out on the effect of aggregate grading on quality of asphalt concrete of Buton Epure. From this research, find out that grading limit of wide range will create untied specification. The gradation will effect on the quality of the mixture, together with asphalt content, filler content and the performance of compactor ,
