- Freight transport plays an important role in the logistic process. An effective and efficient freight transport system is required by all parties involved: producers, consumers, the society, and the government. The freight transport chosen by related agents within industries considers several aspects. This paper touches upon the freight transport choice process implemented by selected industries in Java, Indonesia. This research utilizes a disaggregate approach using stated preference technique for data collecting. Nested multinominal logit models produce preliminary findings which can further be analyzed so as to improve the research.
