- ABSTRAC: This report demonstrated an application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology in watershed management, especially in spatial data analysis for landuse zone planning. Spatial analysis was conducted using the three digitized layers data of the rainfall intensity map, soil map, and slope map including their corresponding attribute data of the Opak-Oyo watershed Overlay operation and spatial analysis of the mentioned layers data were done efficiently using PC Arc/Info GIS software. The overlay process was carried out using identity command in which yielded a landuse zone planning map that was classified in accordance to the determined criteria in the watershed management.
