- ABSTRACT The equations for two-dimensional, horizontal flow are obtained by depth y integration of the continuity and momentum equations. This results the appearances of Diffusion-dispersion terms. These terms contain turbulent and "dispersion" stresses. The first stress terms are derived based on the eddy viscosity concept and the second stress terms are evaluated using velocity distributions along and across the curved streamlines. To test the importance of the diffusion-dispersion terms in the momentum equations, three runs of the numerical simulation were done. These runs are simulations by including the diffusion-dispersion terms
