- Abstract A study was done to determine proximate components of feed of barking deer (Muntiacus muntjac Zimmermann) at Baluran National Park, East Java. The method employed to determine moisture, ash, crude'fiber, crude protein, extract ether and nitrogen-free extract (NFE) was proximate analysis. The proximate analysis had done to observe of 11 different barking deer's feeds observed during the study. The result showed that the highest moisture (89.94%) was found in Widuri (Calotrophis gigantea (Will.) Dryand. Ex Ait. f)
