  • Sedimentation is a dynamic process in costal area. This process is being influenced by several factors and the sediment flux, can be studied by using Landsat ETM+ data, which was related with bathymetry, sediment suspension, sea surface temperature, salinity and size of sediment particles. The first step in this research was related with actual sediment flux data collection such as bathymetry, sediment suspension concentration and sediment flux model I and II by using Stocks formula and Tracer technique respectively, the second step, determinant parameter was aquired from Landsat ETM+ digital data by regression analysis of channel 2 and the actual field data with a new model. The third step was related with model building, that is sediment flux estimation through the correlation of actual value with multivariate analysis regression. The research result showed that there is strong relationship between channel 2 with actual bathymetry and sediment suspension concentration, coefficient of correlation 0.867 and 0.849 of respectively. The two parameters which were taken as deteminant parameter, helped to build a model because of the above result. Sediment estimation flux model I, Y = 33.497 B2,130 St0,07039 and sediment flux II, Y =-0.042 Btâ¢249 St"7°39. The first model showed a coefficient of correlation of 0.757 and it was 0.774 for model two. However the second model is far better than first one and both model is good enough. The resulted map fits fact in the field well. Key Words : model, sediment transport, Landsat ETM+
