- ABSTRAK The objectives of this experiments were (1 ) to study stability of mixture of two soybean varieties with equal proportion as well as their monoculture (2) to compare yield of monoculture with the mixture, blend as alternate row, as well as between mixture types and between 4 varieties. The experiment was conducted in Split Plot, with 3 blocks as replication, Main Plot was rate of Nitrogen aplication. Mixtures of two soybean varieties of Petek, Wilis, Lokon, and Tambora of equal proportion blend or in alternate row, and monocultures were sub plots. Nitrogen aplication were at 25 kg urea/ha, 50 kg urea/ha, 75 kg urea/ ha, and 100 kg urea/ha, which served as different environments. TSP of 75 kg/ha and KCL of 75 kg/ha were uniformly applied to all plots. Regression analysis of Eberhart and Russell (1966) was used. The result showed that: (1) using regression approach, mixture 13 (blend between Petek-Tambora) was a stable variety. Disregarding deviation from regression, mixture 16,13, and 7 were poorer adapted in all environments, mixture 3, 8, 14, 11, 4, 15 and 2 were adapted to favorable environments and the rest to unfavoravle ones
