- This thesis describes how the international production network is able to provide the upgrading impact to local extended enterprise. Rely on the experiences of foreign petroleum business in Indonesia by PT. Chevron Pacific Indonesia, the author first make an assessment of upgrading (both economic and social upgrading) to eight samples of local extended enterprise from PT. Chevron Pacific Indonesia. The results of this assessment later confirmed by the presence of the determinant factors of upgrading, such as Active flagship, High Absorptive Capacities Extended Enterprise, and Good Regulatory Agencies that became the argument of proof in this thesis. The whole argument of proof adopted by author build on multiple actors approach and knowledge transfer approach in international production network.
