- This thesis entitled �TRANSLATION OF CHILDREN STORY OF SANBON ASHI NO ITACHI BY HATOJUU MUKU �. This children story tells about a little skunk that doesn�t abiding his mother warn, in the story he got trapped by a trap human set. Sanbon Ashi no Itachi story was chosen because it is presented in easy way to understand, so that it can be easier to translate. The story also contains a moral message that could be applied in everyday life. Moreover, this translation hasn�t been included as the translation�s title which has ever been translated before. The methodologhy applied in translating the children story is communicative methodologhy. This method seeks to maintain the contextual meaning of the source language in terms of both content and language, so readers have no difficulty in understanding the text translation.
