  • Tourism in Yogyakarta has enormous potential to be developed through tour package. But tour packages to offer is still focusing on certain area which leads to negative effect such as high tourist density. Better tour packaging can be used as a solution to rend tourist density, also to increase tourist satisfaction. So that can increase tourist visit to Yogyakarta, but also can control density issue that occurs. This research aims to know which tour package is most interested by tourists, to know which motivation is most dominant in buying tour package, and to understand the degree of tourist satisfaction, also factors which influencing tourist satisfaction after buying package tour in Yogyakarta. Method used are descriptive quantitative with locus in Yogyakarta Special District area. The research finds that (1) the tourists are not interested in any specific tour package. Then, (2) lessening stress, resting from daily activities, and having a good time is the main motivation to buy tour package in Yogyakarta. (3) Tourists are tend to appraise tour package that they bought with good mark, but (4) they are tend to feel dissatisfaction with the tour. (5) Tour package components that have an influential with tourist satisfaction respectively are vehicleâ��s condition, precision in route and itinerary, punctuality in delivering and picking up, condition in tourist attraction, driverâ��s expedience, tour guideâ��s proficiency, service in accomodation, and food serving during trip.
