- The purpose of this researchwas to know the environment suitability for seaweed Kappaphycus alvarezii cultivating, techniques feasibility, financial feasibility, factors influencing the production of seaweed and seaweed cultivation sustainability atthe waters of South Halmahera Regency. The research was conducted from May 2012 to May 2013 in the waters of South Halmahera Regency in three locations. Location I is Posi-Posi waters in Subsidtrict of South Kayoa (open), location II, Talimau waters in Subdistrict of Kayoa (semi-open), and location III isIndari waters in Subdistrict of West Bacan (closed).
