Daftar Isi:
- Today most attention to Tuberculosis (TB) focuses on preventing or healing so that quality of life is rarely considered. Though there are many aspects that can lead to a reduction in quality of life in patients with active TB as active TB treatment requires long-term treatment (at least 6 months) with some potential toxic effects of drugs that may cause doubts about the treatment in some patients significantly. This study aims to investigate the effect of treatment and time on the quality of life of patients, the treatment effect on the success of therapy, how many patients are treated and experienced Drug Related Problem (DRP) and what happens to the DRP TB treatment. This experimental research was conducted with pretest posttest control group design in which 23 patients as controls and 24 patients were given preferential treatment in the form of medical monitoring by a pharmacist. Monitoring of treatment by the pharmacist is assessment process medicine choice, dose, route of administration of drugs, response to therapy, Drug Reactions are Not Desired (ROTD) and recommendations for changes or alternative therapies through in-depth interviews with patients. Two-way ANOVA analysis of the provision of treatment resulted in a significant quality of life in the domains of activity (p <0.05) and impact (p <0.05), whereas the difference in timing of treatment yielded significant results in all domains (p <0.05) . Chi square analysis of the relationship between the treatment of the success of the therapy was not significant (p> 0.05). Of the 24 patients who received treatment were 11 patients (45.83%) experienced DRP. DRP's going on Adverse Drug Reaction among other things / ADR (12 cases), drug interactions (3 cases) and overdose (1 case). Giving medication monitoring by pharmacists improve patient quality of life significantly, but not related to the success of therapy Keywords: tuberculosis, , the success of the therapy, quality of life, treatment monitoring
