- Palm fiber is a waste of palm oil production. Further processing of oil palm fiber is expected to increase the benefits of which initially only waste into new products more useful. Thus, the purpose of this study is (1) get way cellulose extraction using NaOH solution from coconut husk oil, (2) determine how the CMC synthesis using NaOH solution and the amount NaMCA, and (3)determine the characteristics of the resulting CMC. Isolation of cellulose from palm fiber using NaOH solution witha concentration (5, 7.5
