  • This study aimed to examine the role of self regulation and mother involment in reading comprehension. Subjects in this study amounted to 521 students of elementary school in Sleman. Reading comprehension, self regulation, mother involment was measured using reading comprehension, self regulation, and mother involment scale, Data analysis was done by using multiple regession analysis. The result of data analysis by using multiple regression show that the hypothesis was proven with R = 0,267. F Regression = â�¦â�¦ (p<0,05). The result of this study indicated that the two independent variabels ( self regulation and mother involment) collectively have a significant role on reading comprehension. The two predictors collectevelly make an effective contribution of 26,4 % ( r adjusted = 0.264) to reading comprehension. According to the results of the partial analysis, it was found that self regulation variables accounted for the role for 15,55 % to reading comprehension, while mother involment was amounted to 10,85 % to reading comprehension.
