  • This study aim to determine the role of motivation to learn as a mediator the relationship between teacher student interaction with mathematics learning achievement of one a senior high school in the Ambon city. Criteria for research subjects was students of senior high school of class X. Data collection methods used in this study using motivation to learn scale and the teacher-student interaction scale. The research data were analyzed using path analysis. Testing coefficients (path c) teacher-student interaction to mathematics learning achievement indicates that the student teacher interaction directly affects significantly to the mathematics learning achievement. The magnitude of the direct effect of teacher-student interaction to mathematics learning achievement was 29.6% and 70.4% of them is the influence of other variables not examined. Coefficient testing the indirect effect (path c ') teacher-student interaction to mathematics learning achievement through motivation to learn. Based on the testing result indicate that significant motivation to learn can be a mediator relationship teacher-student interaction to learn mathematics achievement. The magnitude of the indirect effect of teacher-student interaction to mathematics learning achievement through motivation to learn of 29.5% and 70.5% the influence of other factors not examined. Based on the analysis it can be concluded that motivation to learn can be a mediator between the relationship teacher-student interaction with a mathematics learning achievement.
