Daftar Isi:
- Global and domestic coal demand in the next few years is expected to continue to increase, it is in line with the increase in urbanization, industrialization and innovation that will drive the demand for electricity that has never happened before, where most of the demand for electricity is coal-based. Coal will remain as the main energy source in the future, where in 15 (fifteen) years, global demand for coal is expected to increase by more than half and some analysis estimates that the years 2030 to 2035, the most fuel will be needed in the world. As one of the largest coal producer and exporter companies and also the oldest private coal companies in Indonesia, PT XYZ has established itself in the global market and getting ready for expansion in the domestic market. In order to optimize the performance PT XYZ has a plan to construct Coal Handling Facilities (CHF) at mine sites West Mulia and Asam asam, which purposes to increase production and optimize efficiency. This development is very strategic for the future of PT XYZ, because in addition to increase the production of coal in large quantity, it can also reduce the cost to be more efficient. Therefore the company will get benefit from cost savings. Based on the analysis of the investment feasibility using the Net Present Value ( NPV ), Payback Period, Internal Rate of Return and Profitability Index can be concluded that under normal production conditions the projects construction of Coal Handling Facilities, which comprises: Coal Preparation Plant (CPP), Overland Conveyor and port (Tersus) at mine sites West Mulia and Asam asam, are feasible and will benefit the company . Based on the result of the sensitivity analysis, showed that the declining of coal production activities under the normal condition of coal production has a fairly high sensitivity and need to be considered by the management, especially for the construction of Coal Preparation Plant (CPP), because it makes the value of NPV from positive to negative. Whereas the coal production activities above the normal conditions of coal production is not sensitive.
