  • Research on subjective well-being of unmarried adult woman using qualitative research methods with phenomenological approach to provide an overview of the psychological dynamics related to adult women who have not married. The study involved four respondents with their significant others, who knew a lot about the life of the respondents. Recent research is questioning psychological dynamics of adult women who have not married to achieve their subjective well-being. The results showed that the respondents interpret single status not as an option, but the Godâ��s will to be grateful and lived well. Dynamics of respondentâ��s subjective well-being defined by three components: positive affect, negative affect and life satisfaction. Respondents in this study show a high subjective well-being, it is based on the results that positive affect is higher than negative affect, as well as the many sources of life satisfaction. The positive affects of respondent are: feeling happy, optimist, not feeling hurt, patient, feel young, less worries, pride, believe on Godâ��s will, proud, comfortable, enjoying life, feel not envy with friends or relatives who are married, and have no regrets on his life, not blaming on fate, not blaming on theirself, positive thinking, surrender to God, self introspection, praying, and get closer to God. Respondentâ��s negative affect are: burnout, sad, feeling worries, and feel uncomfortable romantic relationship. Sources of life satisfaction is derived from having job that can help respondent in financial independence, has many friends, has a close friend, family support, and social activities.
