  • From time to time, the tendency of the studentsâ�� aggressive acts at school and outside the school is increasing. Aggressive behavior is a behavior that is intentionally directed to hurt others physically, verbally and psychologically. According to some previous studies, it is known that the school climate and normative beliefs regarding aggression play a role in causing aggressiveness. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of school climate and normative beliefs about aggression toward the aggressiveness of students. The survey conducted involving 471 students (257 men and 214 women). The samples were taken from 10 high schools in Yogyakarta. The sampling procedure used was a multistage random sampling, a sampling technique which samples are taken from population that are stratified and clustered in characteristics. The data were collected by using three different scale types, namely
