- Antenatal care by health workers is very important for early detection and prevent complications during pregnancy and pre-childbirth. Maternal mortality is caused by the tardiness to search, decide and archieve in an effort for getting health service. Based from the problems, the information system can be built to automatically deliver check up reminders for pregnant moms and give information of maternal health based on pregnancy age via SMS gateway. This antenatal care web based system with SMS Gateway is built using PHP, MySQL database and uses Gammu as a server for the SMS Gateway. This system is being used for data processing of pregnant women, nativity data and also sending message reminders and health information check automatically (by sending message using SMS Gateway), including SMS broadcast to spread the health information to pregnant women. Web based antenatal care system with SMS Gateway is able to handle data processing of pregnant women, nativity data and send reminder messages and info check the health of pregnant women based on age of pregnancy automatically. In addition, the system is able to send a single message, broadcast message delivery in accordance with the time specified and auto-reply messages are sent to the appropriate format number using SMS Gateway server.
