- Forensic entomology is a branch of the science of entomology and forensic science, related with tanatologi science (the science of death). Both of these related science and studied the influence the role of insects in determining the time of death the bodies are influenced by internal and external factors such as season, humidity, temperature, light exposure and location. The purpose of this research for determine the type of insects that are found at the time we found the bodies in the rainy season and in the forest area, the difference in the insect buried and laid on the ground, as well as the role of these insects. This research was conducted at the Forest Biology for 11 days. The method used is to use insect trap bottle sizes of 1.5 L then insects preserved and identified. Ecological parameters observed that the diversity and abundance of insects, which were analyzed using the Shannon-winer index and described the role of each of the insects that come. From the results, we found 4 orders, 6 families, 7 species of insects with an index of diversity between 1.21 to 1.51 which is dominated by Chrysomya megacephala flies (diptera), which many act as decomposers, assisted by Hemipyrellia ligurriens, Philornis sp., Sarcophaga sp., Oniscus sp. In addition there are also Aleochara nigra and of the Order Coleoptera which act as predators of larvae of Chrysomya megacephala assisted by Blattaria sp.
