  • Breadfruit (Artocarpus altilis (Park.) Fosberg) is plant which many grow in Indonesia. Flavonoid contained in breadfruit leaves is responsible to the antihypertensive and antioxidant activities of breadfruit leaves. Selection of extraction method is important to obtain an extract with optimum active substances content. This research was conducted to find out the extraction method produced extract with the highest total flavonoid content. Breadfruit leaf simplicia powder was extracted through infundation and maceration so that obtained a thick extract. Maseration extract was fractionated with hexane and dekokta extracts fractionated with ethanol of 96%, so that maceration extract (M), hexane soluble fraction (LH), hexane insoluble fraction (TLH), dekokta extract (D), ethanol soluble fraction (LE), and ethanol insoluble fraction (TLE) were obtained. Total flavonoids content was determined by spectrophotometry UV-Vis using Chang method in routine as comparator. Standard curve was made with content series of 0.05
