- Dairy cooperation plays important role in increasing the production of fresh milk and improving the walfare of dairy farmers. Business volume that tends to stagnant at the dairy production center in Sleman Regency encourages the need to do an evaluation of the performance and evaluation of existing cooperative�s competitiveness. Performance analysis was conducted on effectiveness and efficiency to achieved target of performance. Effectiveness of performance done with a Balanced Scorecard approach (BSC) and quantified using Objective Matix (OMAX). Furthermore efficiency of performance is analyzed using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method against the performance of cooperatives for 6 years. Position of cooperatives known by IFE-EFE matix and the formulation of strategic alternatives formulated by SWOT analysis. The research was conducted in two dairy cooperatives namely Warga Mulya and UPP Kaliurang. The result showed that based on kruskall wallis test, performance of the respective cooperative does not differ significantly each year. Based on IFE-EFE matrix, known that position of both cooperatives were at quadrant IV between weakness and threats. Based on SWOT analysis, alternative strategies that successfully formulated for Cooperative Residents Mulya were XX While strategies formulated for UPP Kaliurang were improving efficiency in all areas, hold a contract with processing industry, improving promotion with related institutions, and improving knowledge of dairy processing technology
