- The highway is a path that can be passed by humans and motor vehicles that are divided into several classifications of highways, nowadays human needs of highway is high priority, as one means of transport, highways became the backbone of the primary needs for urban and rural communities. Non-reinforced concrete today many used as a replacement for asphalt, besides its lower price, many paving bricks found in some stores and has a lot small home-based industries which opened a factory in Yogyakarta, which is used for paving roads must satisfy the classification that has been specified by the standards applicable in Indonesia (SNI) such as compressive strength, strong and wear resistance test, normal paving blocks made of a mixture of sand, cement, and water but in this test plus some mix to increase the compressive strength, strong wear, endurance test and tensile strength test on paving. The results showed that after some research the value of testing for the better, be 47.99 MPa compressive strength for block paving sand mixture with standard 40MPa- 35MPa, and the flexural strength test new block paving mixtures obtain an average value of 3.406 and a normal block paving 1,973. So it can be deduced that the brick paving mix is better compared to a normal block paving block paving mixtures adult may be in use on a highway in lieu of asphalt and revitalized Indonesia in the EcoBuilding and Greenliving.
