Daftar Isi:
- Intraspecies variability to mycorrhizal fungi infection has been known on corn and rice. However, there has been no extensive study about it. This study aimed to getting information on variation infectivity to arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi of twenty-five rice cultivars, evaluating the mycorrhizal responsiveness of twentyfive rice cultivars, and comparing the agronomic traits of rice infected MA with non MA in drought stress condition. The research was started from June 2013 up to December 2013 at Tridharma experimental field, Faculty of Agriculture, Gadjah Mada University, Bangutapan, Yogyakarta. Twenty-five rice lowland and upland cultivars compared to infectivity and morphological responsiveness in two conditions: with and without mycorrhizal infection on five individuals each combination. The data were analized with analysis of variance (Anova) α = 5%, the significant differences among treatment was further analyzed use Honestly Significant Different α = 5% (HSD Tukey) procedure. The results show that among twenty-five rice cultivars show diverse respons to mycorrhizal infectivity. Upland and lowland cultivars show positive responsiveness to mycorrhizal, except in some lowland cultivars, i.e. Cimelati-3, Arias, Mayang Sari 20, Situ Bagendit, Anak Daro, dan Anak Daro 30. Lumbuk show best growth symbiosis with mycorrhizal indicated by an increase in the number of tillers, shoot fresh weight, and shoot dry weight.
