- In Indonesia, the role of the Corporation or company responsible for the social and environmental issues have been regulated in the legislation, one of which in article 74, paragraph 1 of law No. 40 year 2007 on limited liability company. Which reads �The company who runs its business activities in the field and/or related to the natural resources required to carry out the social and environmental responsibility�. But in the field often happen in contradiction and negative response from the public to the company, this is because the company is considered often only think of profit the company solely without regard to the circumstances surrounding the community. CSR is present in providing solutions for these problems, CSR is the corporate social responsibility concept that encourages companies to care about social and environmental conditions in communities. This research will discuss how the implementation of corporate social responsibility of PT. Tirta Investama with the concept of CSR, as well as how the views of PT. Tirta Investama over the CSR concept in terms of law No. 40 year 2007 on limited liability company.
