- The title of this final project is \"The Translation of Tennin Nyooboo Fairy Tale\". This fairy tale is chosen because it has not been translated yet before into Indonesian language and contains positive values that can be delivered to readers. The method of translating this fairy tale is communicative method. The communicative method is one of translation methods that maintains the true contextual meaning from it source language, so the content of this fairy tale and its language can be accepted and understood by readers. Tennin Nyooboo tells about the life of a lumberjack and a fairy. The lumberjack kidnapped fairy�s scarf when the fairy was bathing in the river on earth, until she could not return to heaven. Then both of them got married. One day the scarf was found and finally she could return again to heaven. The Lumberjack had a desire to follow his wife, so he was given some requirements by the fairy and her father. Finally he had been successfully working on her job, and allowed to live in heaven. But at the end of this fairy tale the fairy�s father trapped the lumberjack. Finally they separated again and they decided to meet once a year on 7th July (Tanabata no Hi). Some values are contained in this fairy tale, among others: a) whatever the reason, lying is not good and harm themselves. b) a good intention must be accompanied by a true way to make it happen, c) a person must have a spirit of hard work to get something that they want.
