- The elder is a 60 years old individual or above with certain characteristics and needs due their aging proccess. The phenomenon of the increasing number of the elder brings out the concept of age-friendly city. The concept of city development by considering the needs and characteristics of the elder. One of the aspects of this concept is the avaliability of open space for the elder. The open space itself is purposed to be a place for the elder�s activity and social interaction that will increase the quality of their life afterwards. This research is focused to identify the perception and interest rate of the elder as the visitors of Langsat Elderly Park which is one of the open space for them. This park is established as the goverment�s response towards the need of open space for the elder. The perception and interest rate according to the elder is their perception and hope toward the existence of Langsat Park as an open space itself. The variable used in this research is deducted from the theory or concept adapted for the elder�s condition
