- This research aims at reveal the meaning contained in the poem â��Aá ̧¥zÄ�nun fi al-Andalusâ�� written by NizÄ�r QabbÄ�nÄ«. NizÄ�r is a modern Arabic poet from the State of Syria. The poem â��Aá ̧¥zÄ�nun fi al-Andalusâ�� contains a lot of signs. Therefore, this research used semiotic theory, which shows the meaning of the signs embodied in the poem. This research used semiotic reading method to analyze the poem â��Aá ̧¥zÄ�nun fi al-Andalusâ��. The first is heuristic reading phase and the second phase is namely hermeneutic reading. Within heuristic reading, literary works is naturalized according to the normative grammar structure namely Arabic. Furthermore, in order to find the meaning, a hermeneutic reading is performed. In this case, the poem â��Aá ̧¥zÄ�nun fi al-Andalusâ�� is being re-read, as well as performed giving meaning by literary conventions. From the analysis results, it can be seen that the poemâ��Aá ̧¥zÄ�nun fi al-Andalusâ�� reveals about the condition of cultural Islamic-Arabic and civilization heritage after the decline of Muslim rule in Andalusia
