Daftar Isi:
  • Biomass gasification is a process of converting biomass into combustible gas. Biomass as a fuel for gasification process has some limitation, such as caloric value and slightly low density, various raw materials, and also the high level of water content. One of the solution is to do a specific preparation methods, that is the briquetting and mixing sawdust. This research has been experimented with various pressure briquetting process, there are non briquettes, 30 kg/cm2, 40 kg/cm2, and 50 kg/cm2. The parameters measured are reactor temperature, stove temperature, time of flame effectivity, time of gasification operation, total of ashes, tar volume, effectivity, and gasification energy output on the updraft gasifier. The result shows various pressure briquetting process do not affect significant on reactor temperature and stove temperature with the highest result reaches 373,26OC dan 406,55OC respectively. Time of flame effectivity and gasification operation increases, but do not affect significant as the pressure briquetting process from 0-50 kg/cm2. Total ashes and lowest tar volume reach 0,06 kg and 36,33 ml. Effectivity and gasification energy output increase as the pressure briquetting process which affect significant with the highest result reaches 79,70 % and 1322,79 kJ respectively. The best various pressure non carbonization briquetting process as a fuel for gasification is 50 kg/cm2
