- Road is a platform that aims to delay traffic by road from one place to another. Cracks on the surface of road cut the service and reduce structural function of the road. Cracks cause the rain water absorb and trapped in the structure of the road. If the cracks don�t be repaired as soon as, cracks caused a hole in the road surface. As a consequence, the repairing of roads should be immediately done and require significant costs. Self-healing materials can prevent early damage the road construction. Selfhealing materials are materials that can improve the road construction itself (self repair) damage suffered. The ability of self healing is obtained by embedding mikroenkapsulasi Mini-containing material asphalt. Mikroenkapsulasi consists of the core, self healing agent and wall / shell (wall / shell). The cores are made from porous aggregate, such as pumice and kerosene. The shells are made of cement,epoxy and thinner. Mikroenkapsulasi would be put in the asphalt mixture. If there are cracks, the cracks would propagate and reach and damage the shells of mikroenkapsulasi. The self healing agents in mikroenkapsulasi would flow out and then close the cracks. Restore the integrity of the slit closed and prevent the degradation of the structural capabilities of the material. The testing that had done are production of Self-healing materials and Marshall testing. Marshall testing is done to find stability value and flow value of laston which mixed with Self-healing materials . The conclusion of mixing laston and Self healing materials have stability value 1012,45 kg and flow value 5,40 mm.
