  • Worms Paratanaisia bragaiare classified into trematode worms which are predilected in pigeonâs kidney (Columba livia). The purpose of this paper is to find out how Paratanaisia bragai staining worms with the use ofSemichon's carmine staining method. Analysis of Paratanaisia bragaiworm staining process is presented descriptively. Staining method which is suitable for Paratanaisia bragai worm is theSemichon's carmine staining. Staining was conducted by soaking worms in a solution of AFA (Alcohol Formal Acetic Acid) for 24 hours, dehydratingthem using multilevelalcohol each for 15 minutes, soakingthem in dye Semichon's carmine for 1 hour, washingthem with 70% alcohol for 15 minutes, spilling HCL-alcohol 0.5-1%, dehydrating themwith multilevel alcohol, and soaking them in xylol for 1 minute. Staining results were observed with the use of a stereo microscope, the worm seems to have the suction mulit vanity, testis, pharynx, spine, ovary, and vitelaria. It can be concluded that the immersion time in the solution should be done precisely to obtain optimum results. Wormtissue damage is caused by crushing kidney too strongly, wormbody soaking in each solution are not done exhaustively, and the length of time soaking worms in a solution which is not precise.
