- Meet the physical activity is needed to maintain a healthy body, lack of physical activity can cause various risks of diseases such as heart attack, diabetes, osteoporosis, and cancer. Shortage of physical activity is also one of the main factors of obesity. However, at this time in Indonesia was recorded at 48.2% of Indonesia's population aged over 10 years have a shortage of physical activity. Lack of physical activity this one caused by the Indonesian tend to be get happier watching television when compared to doing some physical activity, it also supported by the increasing consumer pay television. This is one of the big reason for the importance of physical activity modified form. Kinect Xbox 360 gaming console can be used as an alternative for involving technology in the fulfillment of physical activity. Posed pleasure in playing can be one of factor that can affect the stability of a person in doing physical activity over the long term. This study analyzes whether the use of the Kinect Xbox can be used as an alternative to exercise when viewed by the Energy Expenditure (EE) produced, in addition this study also analyzes a person's level of enjoyment in using the Xbox Kinect compared to traditional exercise such as jogging using a treadmill. The sample used in this study is 30 respondents to the composition of the 15 male respondents and 15 female respondents. Measurement of EE that performed using the equations developed by Keytel, et al. (2005), while the measurement of the level of excitement is done using a questionnaire developed by Motl, et al. (2001). The type of games that are used in the measurement is Just Dance 4. The results of this study indicate that playing Just Dance 4 when compared to the recommended physical activity needed is not equivalent. However, testing showed that the level of excitement the three groups of respondents at the time of testing in the overall statement item indicates that more enjoy playing Just Dance 4 using the Xbox when compared to using a treadmill jogging.
