- The final project entitled � Managing Of Inactive Records in Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Kota Yogyakarta� is the result of the data collection during fieldwork practice conducted in Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Kota Yogyakarta. This fieldwork practice is intended to determine the condition of inactive records and facilities used in managing the inactive records as well as the obstacles faced in managing the inactive records. Methods used in this research are conducted through interviews, participation observation, and literature study. The interviews are intended to complete the incomplete data and getting more complete information from professional expert in their field. In the implementation of fieldwork practice is conducted observation and direct participation in managing inactive recor ds in Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Kota Yogyakarta. Literature study is an implementation of literature research intended to answer the research problem or collecting information relevant to the topic of final project. After collecting data, the writer concludes that archives management in Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Kota Yogyakarta is not fully consistent with archival science, it is due to the not saving system not fully consistent with archival science and limited human resources and supporting facilities, with the result that the administration activities in the institution becomes disturbed. It is expected that the Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Kota Yogyakarta in order to improve the maintenance of records and improving the quality of human re sources to create a discipline archive culture.
