- Indonesia Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS) in 2007 shows that the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in Indonesia is still high at 228 per 100,000 live births. While the MDGs targets in 2015, MMR can be lowered to 102/100,000 live births. Maternal deaths in hospitals due to the number of cases of emergencies in pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum. Adolescents aged 10-25 years account for almost half of the population of Indonesia is susceptible to frustrate the success of the family planning program that has been achieved with good, because there is a fundamental change in attitude and adolescent sexual behavior. Gunungkidul has a maternal mortality rate is high enough due to the lack of knowledge about prenatal care. The purpose of this study to determine pregnancy care what is being done by adolescents and to know the characteristics of pregnant adolescents according to individual factors, parents background factors and access to health facilities. The analysis technique used is descriptive analysis that is poured into a frequency table and to know the difference between variables using Chi Square analysis. The average age of pregnant teenagers in the Subdistrict Wonosari is 18 years old, while the average age of pregnant teenagers in the Subdistrict Saptosari is 17 years old. All adolescents who become pregnant have the latest education elementary school to high school. During their pregnant adolescents prefer the work, rather than being a housewife. Adolescents prefer to work as a farmer and merchant, according to the socio-economic conditions in the region of origin. In Subdistrict Saptosari 70 percen of pregnant teens pregnant desirable because, while the remaining 30percen of them due to pregnancy outside of marriage. Distance to home to the health facility for prenatal care ranged between 0-3 Km.
